Abstract
ABSTRAKSI Karya ilmiah ini merupakan hasil penelitian melalui proses penciptaan sebuah komposisi yang berjudul “Bo’is Ama Uis Neno” berdasarkan kitab Mazmur 66:8. Komposisi ini berbicara mengenai kewajiban kita sebagai orang percaya yang telah dipilih Allah untuk selalu memuji dan memuliakan Allah. Komposisi ini merupakan kolaborasi antara unsur musik Barat dengan musik etnik Nusantara dari Timor-NTT dengan menggunakan bentuk song form sebagai musik fungsional. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif, penelitian ini dimulai dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui studi pustaka, studi repertoar dan wawancara. Selanjutnya komposisi ditampilkan sebagai wujud nyata dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan melalu online recital pada tanggal 22 Mei 2022. Komposisi ini dibuat untuk mencapai sebuah tujuan yang berkaitan dengan pengembangan kekayaan budaya musik nusantara khususnya pada musik etnik Timor-NTT dalam kontribusi perkembangan musik mulai dari ruang lingkup gereja, sekuler, institusi pendidikan, dan pemerintah. Kata kunci: “Bo’is Ama Uis Neno”, unsur musik Barat, musik etnik Timor-NTT, kolaborasi, song form, fungsional.
